Children match foods to areas of the tongue and learn about sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami tastes.
Moving picture pieces using the attached sticks supports finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination and concentration.
The board teaches children to distinguish between things they can taste and those that should not go into their mouths. It also reminds them about ways to care for their sense of taste.
The Masterkidz Montessori Taste Educational Board helps children discover the world of tastes and learn how the tongue perceives sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami tastes. Using the attached sticks, children move individual picture pieces to the correct place on the illustrated tongue. The game supports active learning, curiosity and the natural expansion of vocabulary.
On the left side of the board, there is an activity focused on distinguishing things that can be tasted from objects that cannot be tasted. Children also learn how to protect their sense of taste: by avoiding hot food, not putting their tongue near sharp objects and brushing their teeth regularly.
The board can be used independently on a table or floor, or placed in a compatible Masterkidz wall frame. It is suitable for use at home or in preschool settings.
